Easter Holidays

What a lovely Easter holidays we had. We wrapped up and went on walks, including our trip to Sherwood Forest,it was amazing.  It is definately on our 'To Do' list to go again in the Summer and Autumn, to see it in the different seasons would be glorious.  I loved all the trees, the Mighty Oak was indeed big and mighy and later on we gathered the most teeny little fir cones. Oh my though, hasn't it been cold, definate soup weather, although I remain optomistic and hope that this will be the last batch of Butternut Squash soup that we eat for quite some time.

Poppy's vintage fabric dolls quilt is finished, she is getting quite a collection, the benefits of having both a Mum and Nan who sew.  I ended up adding both this pretty lace and this pretty ribbon to it and after much debate stitched a scrappy binding, using pieces of all the vintage fabrics rom the quilt front.  For the back of the quilt, I used an old pink sheet that Penny had (thank you Nan!) hanging around, the perfect thrifty solution.

Anyway moving on to Shop news, tomorrow we will have been opened for 1 year...Mum and I can not believe how quickly that has gone.  It has certainly been great fun sourcing the lovelies for the shop.  We have had the most brilliant customers, which has made it a delight.  To celebrate and say Thank You, we have set up a discount code in our shop. All you need to do is quote the following code at checkout:

and you will get 10% off your entire order (exc P&P)  the code is valid until 12pm GMT 18/4/13.

What would be really lovely and would make our day is if you have bought some of our pretty fabrics and trims in the last 12 months and feel that your own customers, friends and family might also like them, if you felt so inclined please do let them know about us, thank you so much!

Happy Crafting!
