Hello out there and....

to our shiny brand new blog, we are thrilled that you are here!

Let us introduce ourselves, we are a mum and daughter duo, both with a passion for fabric and all things homemade.  I am Sarah (the daughter) the creative one, with a head full of ideas, who dreams of fabric, buttons and of course my lovely family.  Some of you may know me from my other little toe that I have in the handmade world, as the designer and maker behind Little Kitten Homemade, where I make Bunting, Banners and Pretty Things.

Penny (my mum) taught me everything that I know about sewing, has a fabric stash that would make you jealous and she loves nothing better than searching for vintage fabrics and trims.  She is also the one with the sensible head on her shoulders and keeps me in line.

Pretty Fabrics and Trims is our kind of heaven and a long time dream that we have shared, to be able to supply gorgeous fabrics both new and vintage, beautiful buttons, pretty lace, fabulous twine and scrumptious ribbons.

However, we noticed that in most cases, these lovely things have to be purchased in larger amounts, when in fact, as a home crafter you may only need a little and so the seed for our venture was sown.

Our ethos is simple, why have to buy a large quantity when you only require a little
and this is the now the basis of our shop.

'smaller quantities perfect for little projects'

Here's a little sneeky peek of just some of our lovely things .........

We are also planning a series of 'Make it' projects, where you'll be able to join in and sew pretty things at home.  Our first,  a Pocket Heart will be coming very soon!

The countdown is now on, in

11 days

and with a good wind behind us, we'll be going live (eeeekkk!)

You'll also find us on our equally new and shiny facebook page.

So sign up now and we'll keep you updated on our progress from now until Launch Day!

PS We hope that you love our logo as much as us. It has been designed especially for us by the very lovely Angie at Artwork by Angie.  Thank you so much, we love it!
